Winner(s) of the Week:
Metros With Halloween Guides
This week we wanted to draw some light on the metros that got ahead of the game and not only put together Halloween Guides last week, but also promoted those guides in email, social or Main Nav. We've found that users are likely to utilize our platform to make their plans well ahead of time for big events like Halloween (in this case at least two weeks) and we think it's rad that these metros are capitalizing on that insight.
- Do312
- Do312's Halloween Chicago guide was promoted in social as well as email, and is currently included in their Main Nav for easy access.
- They also saw over 1.4k pageviews from their Weirdest Places in Chicago /p/ page from email alone.
- Do312 also produced and promoted other Halloween-related guides, including Best Haunted Houses and Fright Flicks.
- Do314
- Do314's Halloween Guide was promoted in email, social and included in their Main Nav.
- Do317
- Do317's Halloween Events guide saw over 1.4k pageviews, with over 50% of that traffic coming from emails and 35% from organic search.
- They also have a number of Halloween-related guides, including their Haunted Indiana /p/ page, Indy Haunted House Reviews, and their Irvington Halloween Fest guide (which ended being their #2 source of traffic on the week!)
- Do512
- Do512's Halloween in Austin guide was their #2 source of traffic on the week, amassing over 5.5k pageviews, including 2.4k from organic search alone.
- Do615
- Do615's Where To Watch Halloween Movies guide saw an uptick in traffic from their email newsletter.
- DoLA
- DoLA had 6 Halloween-related guides in their top-10 sources of traffic for lastweek! They are listed below in order of performance:
- DoTheBay
- DoTheBay's Halloween Party Guide saw 1.5k page views, with almost 1k coming from email alone.
If your team has a Halloween guide in production that is ready to be pushed out to your users, that guide should be a top priority. Let's get everyone excited for their favorite holiday!
With that in mind, don't forget to start getting ahead with your "What Restaurants & Bars Are Open On Thanksgiving & Christmas," "What To Do On NYE," and other time senstive, seasonal guides and reap that sweet, sweet search karma.
Great work everyone, and as always, feel free to hit up support with any questions on this!
