How You (and the network) Did Last Week - 11/22/2017

Winners of the Week:

This week, we celebrate two cities with landmark weeks on Facebook:

Do206

Do206 accomplished their highest week of site traffic EVER (14,717 Site Visits) due in large part to this Facebook post linking to the "The Space Needle Is Getting An Upgrade!" /p/ pagehighlighting the remodeling of the Space Needle's new restaurant floor. The /p/ page recorded 5.2k pageviews, 3.4k of which are from Facebook.
The post (which was Do206's second most engaging Facebook post ever) amassed 2.6k engagements, 3.3k shares and 1.3k comments, and is a great example of the tactic of breaking news on social media, more specifically local news (Do512 saw similar results with this "LaZona Rosa Is Back, Baby!" post).

This breaking news tends to strike a cord with residents of our metros on a personal level (whether its about a music venue, restaurant, monument, etc.) and fosters a great bed for conversation between Facebook users, their friends and family, and other users on our social accounts.

Do317

The Indy team is back again with another awesome use of social media (particularly Facebook) to answer the question "What Am I Doing Tonight?" with one of their most engaging posts of all time. Do317 answered that question by posting this beautiful video for the Indiana Chinese Lantern Festival, which helped bring in nearly 1k of the 3.3k overall pageviews to the Lantern Festival event page. The video post generated 618 engagements, 554 shares and 201 comments.

While Do317 eventually ended up putting money behind this post due to its success, the video gained notable traction organically, highlighting Facebook's focus on video content, regardless of if it is originally promoted or not.

Huge congrats to both of these metros for crushing the social media game. We hope everyone in the network has an awesome Thanksgiving break and as always, feel free to reach out to Support for any and all questions.
