KPI Update

Winner Of The Week: DoTheBay

DoTheBay had a successful week in several KPI categories, breaking their own records across site traffic, new users, email and social.

Banking off a variety of content including seasonally-themed /p/ pages, event pages, RSVPs and giveaways, DoTheBay ended up driving a large chunk of their traffic via engaging daily emails like Tuesday's Daily, which recorded 1,687 unique clicks alone to their Dog Friendly Bars + Restaurants /p/ page -- the 4th most trafficked page of the week with 2.7k pageviews.

Highlights Of The Week:
  • 3rd Highest Week of Site Traffic
  • 3rd Highest Week Of New Site Visitors
  • 3rd Highest Week of Facebook New Followers
  • 3rd Highest Week of Facebook Comments
  • 4th Highest Week Of New Registered Users
  • 8th Highest Week of New Email Subscribers
  • This Chinese New Year Parade Event Page
    • The page saw 16,793 pageviews last week; 15,054 of them from organic search.
    • This page is currently the #4 highest trafficked event page of all time for DoTheBay, with 62% of that traffic coming from last week alone.
  • These two NoisePop After Hour Giveaways (2/23 & 2/24) (*sponsored by Deep Eddy Vodka) of which saw a combined 1,601 RSVPs.
Replicable Ideas

A standout of the week for the social side of DoTheBay was their Lightning In A Bottle Facebook giveaway. Users were asked to like DoTheBay and LIB on Facebook and tag their friends in the comments of the video -- capitalizing on two things Facebook is currently rewarding pages for -- in order to be considered for the giveaway. A link to the Facebook video was also featured in Thursday's Daily email, and saw 1,485 unique clicks.

While not an unusual giveaway method, this creative format saw huge unique email clicks and a big boost to DoTheBay's social following and engagement rate.
