How You (and the network) Did Last Week - 7/21/14

Hi all,

Here's the first of our weekly KPI Reports that you'll receive on Mondays. A few things to note:
  • Twitter data is still unavailable for most metros. If you sent me your login information last week, you will start seeing your data next week, since you'll have a full week of Twitter reporting to benchmark against. If you haven't sent me your Twitter password, shoot it my way to start receiving your weekly reporting.
  • Month over month data will also be blank for the next few weeks, as we'll need 8 weeks of data to have legitimate percent change numbers.
Enough disclaimers, let's dive in!

  1. Do317 Brewin' Traffic:  Do317's Microbrewers Festival shows the impact of taking advantage of the microbrewing boom with a big giveaway. The event drove 585 unique clicks, helping the newsletter get more clicks than any other email in the past 2 months. The same event drove an increase in site-wide engagement (win clicks up 51% WoW) and user registrations (up 50% WoW).

All of this proves that one big ticket giveaway to an important event in your market can make the difference on every aspect of your business.
  2. Do312, Do512, Do615, and Do317 for capitalizing on people's love of reading about how their city is changing. All of these posts drove the most engagement for their respective metro over the previous week
--Do312 post about a new bar opening
--Do512 post about a new bar opening
--Do317 post featuring an article on the changing nature of Indy
--Do615 post about Nashville ranking as one of the most creative cities
As easy as it is to get caught up posting a steady barrage of show announcements, various ticket giveaways, and posts for advertisers, remember that you're still the ambassador for knowing the most about your city. Show you're clued into the cultural zeitgeist by posting recent developments in your city at large that people will care about.

Annnnd with that, here's your updated weekly KPI Report:
Remember to click on the the tab with your DoXXX on it to see your metro-specific stats.

As always, reach out if you think there's a big win in your market we overlooked, or if you have any questions at all.

Thanks!
